Heritage Valley Opens Medical Mall

Beaver-based Heritage Valley Health System is planning to open a medical mall in Edgeworth, with plans for another – the system’s third – for Robinson Township.

Heritage Valley Edgeworth will take up about two-thirds of a new 40,000-square-foot building, which will be located on Ohio River Boulevard. Esmark Inc., a privately held company with a portfolio of industrial companies, will own the building, which will also be its corporate headquarters. Heritage Valley also has a medical mall in Chippewa.

Primary care, outpatient rehabilitation, laboratory and medical imaging are among the services that will be offered at the new site. Also, the hospital system will open a walk-in clinic at the site, the system’s seventh, which will operate under the Heritage ConvenientCare name.

TF Asset Management and OneSource HR will be other tenants in the $9 million building. No date has been set for opening of the center.

Heritage Valley is a $450 million integrated delivery network, which includes two hospitals, 72 physician offices and 14 satellite facilities. The West Penn Allegheny Health System and Excela also have embraced the push into outpatient facilities as hospital administrators prepare for changes in how medical care is provided resulting from health care reform.
