Nearly nine months before its scheduled completion, space in the $9-million, 40,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Esmark global headquarters building has now been fully committed, according to a news release.

Heritage Valley Health System, a frequent partner in a variety of community activities with Esmark, plans to establish a medical mall that will be called “Heritage Valley Edgeworth” at the Esmark building in Edgeworth.

A “medical mall” is a one-stop shopping concept and design that provides patients with the convenience of accessing primary care, as well as ambulatory and diagnostic services in one easy to access community location. “We are thrilled, to team up with Heritage Valley once again to bring this prestigious development to our community,” James P. Bouchard, founder, CEO and chairman of Esmark, said in a news release. “The growth and expanded services provided by Heritage Valley Health System have achieved national recognition.” “The ‘medical mall’ concept is something we have added recently in Chippewa and will soon also add in Robinson Township,” Norm Mitry, president and CEO of Heritage Valley Health System, said in a news release. “The new Heritage Valley Edgeworth medical mall will allow community members the opportunity to address their healthcare needs in one convenient, modern setting. In addition, as part of our integrated delivery network of healthcare, they can be assured that the high quality services available to them will all be connected through our electronic health record system.”

Heritage Valley plans to include primary care physicians, outpatient rehabilitation, a laboratory draw site and diagnostic services at the location.

In addition, the site will include the seventh Heritage Valley ConvenientCare location, a walk-in clinic, open seven days a week with extended hours, providing treatment for minor illness and injuries by a staff of certified Registered Nurse practitioners.

Heritage Valley joins Esmark Inc., TF Asset Management and OneSource HR as the building’s principal tenants.

Esmark broke ground on the headquarters in October, which was followed by demolition. The building is expected to be complete later this year. Heritage Valley Health System is a more than $450 million integrated delivery network providing comprehensive health care for residents of Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania; eastern Ohio; and the West Virginia panhandle.

With 425 physicians, and 4,100 employees Heritage Valley operates two hospitals – Heritage Valley Sewickley and Heritage Valley Beaver – plus 72 physician offices and 14 satellite facilities. Founded in 2003, the Sewickley-based Esmark expects to have more than two-dozen members of its corporate staff located in the new building just off Route 65.

Esmark had sales of more than $400 million in 2011 with 450 employees in three geographic areas including Meadville, Chicago and Cleveland. The firm provides strategic and innovative products and specialized services in the areas of steel, energy, industrial manufacturing, aviation, business services and realty.
