ESMARK MANAGEMENT

Dave is CEO of Esmark Industrial Group, with responsibility for ongoing operations at the company.

Prior to his appointment at Esmark, Dave served as President of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Corporation and Executive Vice President of Mill Operations for Esmark from January 2008 until the acquisition of Esmark by Severstal, N.A. in August 2008. He also served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Esmark.

Dave’s career includes more than 21 years with United States Steel Corporation. The majority of his tenure at U.S. Steel was spent in the Company’s Law Department, where he progressed through a number of positions of increasing responsibility. Dave was named General Counsel of U.S. Steel’s European operations in November 2000 and served in that role until his return to Pittsburgh to accept a promotion to Assistant General Counsel at the Company’s headquarters in April 2004.

In mid-2005, Dave accepted an assignment in U.S. Steel’s Operations area, running the company’s historic Edgar Thomson Plant in Braddock, Pennsylvania, a 2.8 million ton/year integrated steelmaking operation. He remained in that role until joining the Esmark executive management team in December 2006.

Before joining U.S. Steel, he was in private practice with the Pittsburgh law firm of Meyer Unkovic and Scott from 1981 to 1985. He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
